Recommended dcc systems:

Currently I'm most happy with both the top of the line Digitrax Inc. & North Coast Engineering "NCE" systems & ESU (LokSound) ECoS command station.

Loksound: Is quickly becoming the future of model railroading with the use of WiFi Android based throttles & RailCom.  More & more model railroading technology is going WiFi  (touch screen) capable.  I'm finding function controls in decoders is growing up to 32 functions and Lok sound throttles are keeping up.

Digitrax:  In my opinion offers the most electrical components for building even the most automated of  layouts.  The full size throttles are able to operate two separate trains at once with one hand.  Also Digitrax will run one DC train while running a Dcc train.  Separate or together.

NCE: Throttles are more user friendly to operate and each throttle can operate up to six separate trains while only controling one at a time.  I've not found NCE can operate a DC only train as of yet.

Soundtraxx: Bluenami with your wireless device (Ipad/Iphone etc.) are becoming a convenient way of controlling your decoders and with a battery pack your train can become dead rail operated.

Each System:  Is well manufactured and have good service.  Once you understand what the system throttles can do the more you'll be able to properly control and adjust your Dcc trains like the prototype.
Hope this helps.

More to come:   I'm studying each new innovation as I learn to keep up with the hobby.          Thanx Thom...
